The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India took a policy decision in 2002 to conduct an All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) annually, doing away with many of the large number of entrance examinations that were being conducted till then by various institutes in the country for admission to undergraduate degree programmes in the disciplines of Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture. This initiative has been widely accepted and appreciated.

A Central Counselling Board (CCB) constituted by the Govt. of India coordinates admissions to UG degree programmes in the disciplines mentioned above in respect of select institutions. This year's CCB has been constituted with Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore as its Chairman.

CCB (AIEEE-2011) has completed all the rounds of seat allotment with the conclusion of Spot Round on 14th August, 2011.

CCB (AIEEE-2011) wishes to place on record its appreciation for the cooperation it received from all the Candidates, Institutes, Reporting Centers and Help Centers participating in the counselling process.
